RED STICK HIGH RISE
LSU ARCHITECTURE STUDIO PROJECT
BATON ROUGE, LA

Looking at the site of downtown Baton Rouge, there is discovered to be a necessity for a public community center for social purposes. The intention of this design would be to construct a high raise system with an inviting public space attracting people from the community. This will help urbanize the downtown area and can be accomplished through the use of retail and green space. The site will have private spaces occupied by a condo and office building; however, their exterior design will help to attract passing pedestrians while the interiors function as their own system. This will be a site where residents of Baton Rouge can come for private business as well as a social outlet. It will give the feeling of multiple possibilities and anyone can access.
